When people think of Bird of Paradise, they think of the wildly attractive flower that is available in cut production, but the variety that you will see in an indoor setting will most likely be the White Bird of Paradise which has tall banana-like leaves. This plant likes as much light as possible, but shade from the hot sun. This plant is prevalent in the Florida landscape and can reach heights up to 20 feet.
