We are seeing less of the older varieties of Chinese Evergreens (like Silver Queen and Maria), which are being replaced by newer hybrid varieties like SILVER BAY, SIAM, VALENTINE AND SPARKLING SARAH. Either way you go you will have a strong durable plant that thrives in low light situations. This houseplant is also very, very, very touchy to drafts and cold temperatures. Keep temperatures above 60 degrees for best results. Aglaonemas do best with moderate watering, but when in doubt do not water! If bottom leaves begin to yellow, chances are you are over watering.
